Continuing Professional Development (CPD) 2025-26 The CPD year for ALL agents  now runs from the 1st July to the 30th June the following year in line with the financial year. CPD training can still be completed any time during this period regardless of your renewal date. You will still need to renew your Licence on your usual renewal date. Approved Provider Unique Training Providers has been approved by NSW Fair Trading to deliver the Compulsory CPD topics for the 2025-26 CPD year as well as the Residential Tenancy Law Reforms topic. Topics may be delivered in a face-to-face interactive training environment or an interactive webinar. Unlike previous years, you are no longer able to complete CPD by distance learning Licensees-in-charge must have all CPD training detailed in the training plan for the agency, and this may be made up of topics most relevant to you.

Class 1 Additional Requirement

Class 1 agents have an additional requirement to spend a minimum of five hours attending a NSW Fair Trading accredited event. This event is free being delivered through interactive online sessions. Invitations are sent to registered email addresses. Ensure your registered email address is up to date with NSW Fair Trading so you don't miss out

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) for Assistant Agents

Assistant Agent - must complete at least 3 units from the relevant Certificate IV Qualification each year as a pathway to Licence within four years.

If you hold a certificate in several different categories, you will need to complete units of competency to cover each category of your certificate.

For example:

• if you hold a certificate in both real estate and stock and station, you will be required to complete units from the dual licence course.
• If you hold a certificate in both real estate and strata, you will be required to completed units from both qualifications (6 units of competency)
